Greetings from Summer in Brooklyn

Greetings from Summer in Brooklyn.

The summer in New York is rushing away.
Please summer, don’t go yet.
We are still in the mood for summer, at the beach,
by the seaside and gatherings outside in parks.Meanwhile, I had a Summer Annual Craft exhibition on the west coast
in San Francisco last week.
San Francisco, California a place where state of the high-tech innovation and new talents grow abound.
It is little bit intimidating to exhibit my works there
but it is a great opportunity to get connected to people
with unlimited inspiring urban spirit. The climate is cool and dry all year round.
However the air currents around the Golden gate bridge create fog, covering the city of San Francisco like a gray cloth.
Compare the bright blue sky over Sausalito on the other side of the bridge and San Francisco’s gray sky and drizzle.
How magical, mystical landscapes, they are.My various summer scarf collection
( silk, cotton and cashmere wool ) for San Francisco
were absolutely suited to the climate.Thank you so much for all of you coming to
American Craft Council Show SF.
I had a wonderful meeting and time, and hope to see you next year.

Summer greeting

Hope you had wonderful Fourth of July holidays.

Summer heat begins on the fourth of July, Independence Day.
Sun stays until 8:00 pm, music plays with the sizzle of barbecue in the garden,
The restaurant windows open up and people gather around the table by the sidewalk in the warm night of summer.

For the past 7 days, I went to Baxter State Park in Maine,
I was hiking out into the vast wilderness.
On terrain that was elevated 400 million years ago,
a 809 km2 park with a stunning mountain range.
Above all, the huge rocks of the famous Katadin Mountain (1,605 m),
beautiful and dignified.
This place is also the northern terminus of the 2190 miles long Appalachian Trail.
I was moved by seeing the hikers finish the final climb, from all the lengths of the trail.

7 days away from everyday life, my thoughts focused on unknown worlds and interacted the magnificent power of nature.

The insight, this memory, becomes a form in some way, and I believe it will fall into my work.
I hope to share it with you in future.
Thank you and have a nice summer!
