A happy new year 2020

Happy New Year!
I truly appreciate all the kindness you showed me this past year, and I wish for your continued support this year as well.
 ———————
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of TextileYuh.
And the next exhibition at Wabisabi-ya will be the 24th installment.
In 2000, I established this company in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture Japan, and I opened the New York branch in 2003. Since then, I have been designing, producing, and selling my scarves in the US myself. My scarves have transformed, just like my life—going through cycles of imagination, decision making, and results on which the past twenty years have been layered.
For a new challenge at this twentieth anniversary, I decided to move my base from New York to Chestertown, a small port town in Maryland. A blue house in this small town will be my new home base.
I am excited to equip the house with a substantial workshop space for dyeing, printing, and weaving in order to create my unique items.
Meanwhile in Kiryu, I will continue to promote beautiful Japanese crafts for years to come.

I wonder how my new challenge for 2020 will end up. But I hope it will lead to a peaceful future and harmonious state of existence. My turning point begins at Wabisabi-ya.
I thank the organizer, Ms. Takano of Wabisabi-ya, from the bottom of my heart.
I thank to Bunsei Matsuura / Photographer and Tsukasa / Model for making perfect images to “Monte”
And finally I thank to Faith Wilson encouraging me to the new life in Chestertown !!
